Dear Competitors,
Thank you for entering the 2026 Pony Club NSW Thoroughbred Combined Performance Championships at Equimillion.
We are incredibly excited to be bringing this competition to Equimillion for the very first time, and we really appreciate your support of this new event. We hope it will be a fantastic experience for our riders, families and, most importantly, our Thoroughbreds.
Please take the time to read through the Schedule, draw times, arena layout and important information below before attending.
MONDAY 5 OCTOBER 2026
The competition will commence from 9:00am, with the first Silks 60cm course walk at 8:30am.
Please note that the revised timetable is indicative only. As some classes are not completely full, we may run ahead of schedule. Competitors should therefore be prepared to compete earlier than their advertised class time and listen carefully for announcements throughout the day.
Draw times and the arena layout are now available on our event page.
There will not be a separate rider briefing in the morning, as we understand some competitors may be busy with other Equimillion classes. Instead, we will run competitors through the competition process during the relevant course walk.
WARM-UP & COMPETITION AREAS
Competitors will warm up in Arena 12 before making their way down to the Hacking Arena for their competition rotation.
A small warm-up jump will be available in Arena 12, as well as a warm-up jump immediately before competitors enter the jumping course.
Please allow enough time to warm up and move between the two areas so that you are ready when called.
If you have another class at Equimillion that clashes with your allocated competition time, please let us know as soon as possible. We are very happy to move competitors around before the event where possible; however, we will not be able to chase competitors down or reorganise the draw on the day.
HOW THE COMPETITION WILL RUN
The competition will run as a rotation through three components:
- Presentation & Turnout – Judge 1
- Flatwork – Judge 2
- Jumping Equitation – Judge 3
Competitors will be released into the rotation at approximately five- to six-minute intervals, so please ensure you are ready when called.
For the Flatwork component, riders will complete the flatwork workout as shown in the Schedule. This is not a Show Riding class.
For the Jumping Equitation component, competitors should present as they would for a Pony Club Jumping Equitation competition.
UNIFORM, GEAR & HELMETS
Full Pony Club uniform is required, including all required approved safety equipment.
We will be operating under the relevant National Pony Club gear rules for Showjumping.
Horses should be clean, well presented and plaited. Competitors will not be marked down for completing the Flatwork component in a jumping saddle.
There will only be enough time between components to make small adjustments, such as changing stirrup length. There will not be time for full tack or outfit changes between judges.
Helmets must be Pony Club tagged.
If you need your helmet tagged, we can do this for you before your course walk. Please see Renee or Rebecca.
FALLS & FIRST AID
If you have a fall during the event, you must not continue riding until you have been assessed by our First Aid Officer, Renee.
Please follow all instructions from event officials and First Aid personnel.
DAY PARKING
Competitors attending for the day should park in P9 Day Stay parking.
COMPETITOR SHIRTS
Every competitor will receive a free Pony Club NSW / Equimillion competitor shirt, proudly sponsored by Animi Equine.
These can be collected from the Pony Club NSW Trade Stand at Equimillion from Friday onwards.

STABLING & CAMPING

Please be aware that most camping sites are currently unpowered due to limited powered availability.
If powered sites become available due to scratchings, Equimillion will move competitors where possible. At this stage, however, please plan on your camping site being unpowered unless advised otherwise.

As with all Pony Club events, volunteers are an essential part of making the day run smoothly.

Please let us know if you are able to help with one of these roles or shifts.
We would much prefer families to nominate a job that works around their rider. If we do not receive enough volunteers, we will need to allocate parents to roles so that the competition can run safely and on time.
EVENT SET-UP
The competition area and equipment will be set up on Sunday 4 October.
If anyone is available to lend a hand with set-up the day before, we would really appreciate your help. Many hands make light work, and any assistance will make a big difference in having everything ready for Monday morning.
