Booking a coach from the Pony Club NSW paid instructors panel.

Pony Club NSW Clubs and Zones can book approved coaches directly from the Paid Instructors Panel for training schools or instructional events. To ensure compliance with Pony Club NSW insurance and safety requirements, all bookings must follow the steps below.

How to Book a Paid Instructor

  1. Contact the Instructor Directly
    Reach out to your chosen instructor to confirm their availability, coaching fees, and travel arrangements.
  2. Confirm and Book
    Once details are agreed, the club or zone may proceed with the booking directly with the instructor.
  3. Arrange Payment
    Payment is made directly by the club or zone to the instructor, in line with the resolution passed at the November 2018 State Council meeting.
  4. Instructor Responsibilities
    All coaches on the Paid Instructors Panel are responsible for managing their own taxes and superannuation.

How to Apply to Join the Paid Instructors Panel

Qualified and experienced coaches who wish to teach within Pony Club NSW can apply to join the official Paid Instructors Panel. Coaches on this panel are approved to conduct Pony Club schools and events in line with Pony Club NSW standards.


Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

  • Hold an Equestrian Australia NCAS Level One Accreditation or higher
  • Have extensive experience coaching groups of riders, particularly young riders
  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Work within Pony Club NSW guidelines, rules, and regulations

Application Process

  1. Contact the Coaching Manager
    Liaise with the Pony Club NSW Coaching Manager to arrange a time for your coaching session to be observed by Pony Club NSW officials.
  2. Complete the Application Form
    Submit the Application to Join the Paid Instructors Panel form.

  3. Observation and Review
    Two Pony Club NSW Officials will attend a coaching session to observe you instructing. Feedback from this observation will be included in your application.
  4. Committee Approval
    Your application will be presented to the Zone Chief Instructors Committee for review and ratification at its next meeting.
  5. Probationary Period
    If approved, you’ll be placed on the Paid Instructors Panel for a 12-month probationary period. During this time, feedback from clubs and zones will be collected to assess your ongoing suitability.
  6. Full Membership
    After the review period, successful applicants may be offered full membership on the Paid Instructors Panel based on performance and feedback.
