BREAKING NEWS: Pony Club NSW Partners with Racing NSW

BREAKING NEWS | A Landmark Partnership for Pony Club NSW Members 🐎

We are incredibly excited to announce a landmark new partnership between Pony Club NSW and Racing NSW, creating new opportunities for our members across NSW.

This partnership brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to education, horse welfare and the future of young people in the equine industry — and will connect our 10,000 members across more than 220 Pony Clubs with opportunities within the NSW Thoroughbred racing industry.

For our members, this partnership will open the door to:

  • New career and employment pathways within the racing and broader equine industries
  • Education, workshops and practical experiences
  • Opportunities to shadow industry professionals
  • Access to formal training and qualifications through Racing NSW’s Team Thoroughbred Academy
  • Greater education around Thoroughbred welfare, retraining and rehoming
  • New competition opportunities for Pony Club riders and Off-The-Track Thoroughbreds
  • Exclusive opportunities through Equimillion

And this is only the beginning.

Pony Club NSW will also become an Official Partner of Equimillion 2026, with dedicated Pony Club spaces, showcase events and opportunities exclusively for Pony Club riders. Entrys will open soon…

Our members will also be invited to take part in a Future Equine Leaders seminar at Equimillion on Monday, 5 October 2026, giving young people the opportunity to discover the huge range of careers and pathways available across the equine and Thoroughbred industries.

Pony Club NSW President Clare Martin said:

“It brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to education, horse welfare and the future of young people in the equine industry.

This partnership will create exciting new opportunities for our members through career pathways, more education, and competition, both in and beyond the saddle.”

The partnership was officially announced today at Bart’s Farm, one of Racing NSW’s equine welfare properties, where retired Thoroughbred racehorses are retrained and prepared for their next chapter.

We are incredibly excited about what this partnership can deliver for Pony Club members across NSW.

Keep watching — there is much more to come!
