Since 2009 when the NCAS accreditation began in NSW the instructors who had the original, and what is now known as the “Old System certificates”, these were virtually put on hold.
Instructors could retain their Old System certificates as long as they attended a two day State Instructors School every four years, but could not advance under the old system.
Now with the launch of the new NSW Instructors Accreditation (NSWIA) is in place it enables us to combine and update all instructors into just one NSW Instructional scheme.
The following are the pre-requisites required for the move across into the equivalent level. Old System Level One has Equivalency Recognition for the NSW Bronze Certificate.
Application must be made and the pre-requisites must be completed between January 2021 to December 2024.
- Attend a two day State Instructors School. This can be a zoom plus one day face to face practical school or two day face to face combined theory and practical.
Only State Instructors Schools attended in their entirety from 1st January 2021 until December 2024 will be eligible for transfer.
- Completion of the online Bronze Horsemanship certificate. (Only the online theory component is required). A copy of the certificate will need to be forwarded with the application.
- Instructor must hold a current NSW Gear Check Certificate.
