Rider Notes

Entry to the grounds is via the main gates off Exeter Street, follow the road around and the double gates are on the curve just after the cricket club gates. Please ensure these gates are kept closed.

Camping & Stabling

The yard list will be available on the link above and on Stack Team App, your yard number will be under your surname. Shavings are not provided for the yards, if you wish to have shavings you will need to BYO and clean out the yard once finished. Some yards are on grass, dirt ground. Some yards are on the brand new base that all Camden Equestrian Park yards will be placed on – these will require shavings – I have tried not to allocate anyone on these ones.

Campsites are not allocated – we understand you might like to camp in your zones and there is space near most yards which are allocated – the park is to set up marked campsites in the future however for now it is do your best while respecting others and allowing all to fit in. Please keep pathways clear so that vehicles can still enter and exit.

Electricity access is on the boxes located on the power poles. There are at least 20 power points in each box – please be mindful of others access, you may also need some long cords.

Parking in a row is advisable and all cords should run in the same direction (ie along the front of the vehicles). Cords may not go across horse yards – any doing so will be removed, no questions asked.

Rubbish bins will be located around the grounds, please use them!

Road base – a large part of the area for the new yard locations has been laid – council would prefer people don’t park on this however it is a large area of the camping space. Please keep driving over it to a minimum. If you are camping on it you will not be able to put any pegs into it (please don’t even attempt this – it is 10cm thick, all it will do is damage the base and you won’t win)

Yards

Council are installing a crushed road base and the yards will be placed permanently on this. Some have already been done – we have tried to avoid these but if you are allocated these yards you will need shavings as they are very hard and hot.

Manure bays are located around the yards however when leaving all you need to do is push any shavings or manure out of your yard onto the grass and the tractor will spread it.

Venue – Arenas

Jumping Equitation will take place over 3 arenas with 2 using the main arena and the third arena being at the Pony Club grounds which are a short walk around. You can either take the causeway or use the bridge and the path through the trees. If driving over there please be mindful of horses and pedestrians on the road.

Snakes are a common sighting so stick to the mown areas and avoid the creeks or cross country jumps. The cross country course is closed and no jumps may be used

The creek might look nice however it is actually run off from the water treatment plant between the PC grounds and the main arena – many dogs swim in it however it always makes us wince knowing where it comes from (the flood aftermath was enough) so please prevent dogs or kids going in there.
